Vehicle rollover in Texas caused by collision on highway

Running out of gas or breaking down on a Texas highway can be dangerous and place a person at risk for being hit by another car. When a motorist suffers a vehicle rollover as a result of a rear-end collision, he or she can suffer serious harm and injury. A recent wreck that resulted in a vehicle rollover was caused when three cars collided, injuring multiple people.

The nighttime crash occurred when a vehicle ran out of gasoline on a Texas interstate and another motorist stopped to help. The driver who came to the person’s aid was using his pickup truck to actively push the car that had broken down when an approaching vehicle slammed into them. The impact to the rear of the truck caused it to jolt forward and into the air.

The pickup truck rolled over backward and came to a stop on top of a guard rail after going airborne. The stranded car that was being pushed was also damaged in the collision. Although authorities do not suspect intoxication as a factor in the crash, every person involved was transported to local medical facilities for treatment of their injuries.

Trauma treatment from a vehicle rollover and rear-end collision can be extensive and could require ongoing care in the future. A Texas victim who has suffered bodily harm due to the actions of another driver may feel that he or she is entitled to certain insurance benefits and financial help for expenses. A person who was hurt in an attempt to help remove a stranded car from the road may pursue legal action against the party responsible for his or her serious condition.
