Driving while intoxicated on Texas roads can lead to a fatal accident with consequences that cannot be reversed. The damage inflicted can harm other people emotionally and physically. Reports reveal that a 19-year-old man was recently charged for his involvement in a fatal accident that took the life of a little boy.
The tragic crash took place when a sedan was seen traveling at high rates of speed on a local road. As it approached an intersection, another car pulled into the road after stopping at a stop sign. The sedan smashed into the side of the car, injuring the three occupants inside.
The woman driving the car and an 18-month-old child were taken to a nearby medical facility where they received treatment for their injuries. A 6-year-old little boy who was also in the car was transported by helicopter to a local hospital to be treated for his traumatic injuries. The little boy unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and later passed away.
The teen driver was not injured in the fatal accident and was arrested immediately following the collision. Authorities discovered that the young man may have been driving under the influence, and they charged him with manslaughter and intoxication manslaughter. A parent in Texas who has suffered the loss of a child from the actions of a potentially drunk driver may have a mixture of anger and confusion as they grieve. Some people may choose to seek professional help as they attempt to pursue justice and prove liability.
