Fatal Houston car accident takes 3 lives

A pair of Houston teenagers recently lost their lives after a devastating car accident. Reports indicate that the two young men would often ride with a coach who volunteered with their team in order to help the students reach their goals in sports and education. Officials believe the trainer may have been speeding at the time of the car accident.

Another vehicle that was involved in the accident purportedly left the scene, but its occupants contacted authorities six hours after the accident took place. The woman driving reported that the sports car sideswiped her minivan after it had hit a curb along the side of the road. The impact caused the coach to lose control of the vehicle, sending it into a spin and causing it to flip before it crashed into an overpass support column. Reports indicate that the sports car may have even flown through the air before it crashed.

The impact with the column was immense. When emergency crews arrived, the wreckage was so severe that hydraulic tools were required to allow workers to remove the victims from the wreckage. All three in the car died at the scene of the accident.

Although charges have not been filed against the woman that left the scene, Houston police continue to deliberate on the decision. Classmates, friends and family members are struggling with the tragic loss and the families of the victims likely have many questions surrounding the cause of the car accident. Parents of the teenagers may look to seasoned professionals as they review their options to prove negligence and determine the best way to approach requesting compensation for their losses from the estate of the deceased driver.
