A neighbor of a Crosby kindergarten teacher recently said that the woman’s life revolved around her sons. An alleged reckless driver brought the Texas instructor’s life to a crashing halt, along with that of her ex-husband, when both boys were killed in a crash on a recent Thursday. Drivers involved in the fatal collision suffered multiple injuries and are being treated at local hospitals. The neighbor lamented that she does not know how the mother will survive such sorrow.
The teacher’s friend had been traveling on Highway 90 when she heard the sounds of a crash. Little did she know that it was her own neighbor who had had been struck. The woman stated that she had seen a small black car dangerously weaving in and out of traffic. The 19-year-old driver of that car allegedly crashed into the 38-year-old teacher’s SUV as he made an attempt to pass another car.
Upon impact, the young woman suffered multiple broken bones from which it will take months to fully recover. Her two sons were passengers in her vehicle at the time of the crash. Responding deputies telephoned the boys’ father who was understandably devastated to learn that neither of his sons survived the accident. He had to break the news to his former wife as she lay in the hospital. The young driver alleged to have caused the accident was also injured and has been reported in serious condition.
Often, parents who lose children in a vehicular accident undergo unfathomable grief and suffering. When personal injury and ongoing medical treatment for recovery is added to their burden, it is understandable that one would hope to receive some sort of financial relief as a means of alleviating at least the monetary costs due to the tremendous personal losses. If a person alleges that a reckless driver is the cause of a Texas accident, he or she may contact a professional legal team for advice regarding the filing of a claim in a court of law.
