A recent incident occurred in Texas that has resulted in one of the persons involved filing a lawsuit against another party. The car accident took place in Aug. 2014. The woman who has filed the legal claim is said to have suffered serious injuries in the crash.
According to reports, the woman was traveling in a westbound direction on the road at the time of the accident. Another vehicle, driven by a woman who was working as a meter reader for Olameter Corporation, allegedly went through a red light. The legal claim asserts that the meter reader’s vehicle entered the intersection in a southbound direction, causing the plaintiff’s vehicle to crash into it.
As a result of the accident, the plaintiff reportedly suffered severe injury to her left arm, back, neck and body. She is suing both the driver of the other vehicle and the corporation for whom the woman was employed. She is seeking compensation for damages sustained due to alleged negligence and willful misconduct.
In Texas, a person injured in a car accident at the apparent fault of another motorist is able to file a personal injury claim in a civil court. There are attorneys available who are experienced in motor vehicle accident cases who would be able to offer guidance as to how best to proceed according to the details of an individual case. In addition to medical bills incurred in connection with an accident, legal claimants typically seek compensation for emotional pain and suffering, loss of wages and other associated monetary losses.
