Texas roadways are busy thoroughfares that sometimes become scenes of motor vehicle accidents. In some situations, reports submitted by witnesses can help authorities in the investigation process following a collision. Fire fighters arrived at a recent crash site after a witness reported a vehicle rollover on the road.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on a recent Sunday evening. The person who called responders said that a vehicle had flipped over several times and ultimately landed upside down on the highway. The witness also reported another involved vehicle had apparently come to a stop facing oncoming traffic.

It was later reported that three cars had sustained substantial damage as a result of the collision. Fire fighters had to extricate one person from a vehicle. At least six others were taken to various hospitals in the aftermath of the accident. Traffic lanes were shut down for more than an hour while the road was cleared of debris.

If a person is seriously hurt in a vehicle rollover accident that is deemed to have been caused by another motorist, restitution may be sought by filing a personal injury claim in a civil court. An experienced Texas attorney would be able to help identify possible sources of liability and determine the maximum amount of recovery available for one’s losses. It is typically advisable to contact an attorney as soon as possible after an accident so that a thorough investigation can take place while the details of the incident are still fresh in one’s mind.
