Texas student deemed responsible for fatal accident

Motor vehicle accidents along busy Texas roadways often have devastating results. A recent collision occurred involved several vehicles. The tragedy took the lives of four victims, and police have ordered a toxicology report to determine whether drugs or alcohol were causal factors in the fatal accident.

A Texas State University student is believed to have been responsible for the recent crash that killed two men, one woman and a 2-year-old child. Police are said to have received a call informing them that a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane on the highway. Shortly thereafter, officers got a second call reporting the wrong-way driver.

Just after receiving those calls at approximately 1 a.m., the tragic three-car crash occurred. The 22-year-old female behind the wheel of the vehicle that allegedly caused the deaths is enrolled as a junior at the university. She was critically injured in the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is difficult to fathom the devastation and grief experienced by a family who has lost a loved one in a Texas fatal accident. When the death is believed to have been caused by a negligent or reckless driver, it is understandable that those who survive the victim would desire that justice be served on behalf of their deceased family member. By filing a wrongful death claim in a civil court, immediate family members can seek a monetary recovery for their losses. To being the process, a meeting can be arranged with a personal injury attorney to discuss the situation.
